Now is the time of year when my Project Manager brain starts going off on ALC.

Most of this I have so dialed in after so many years on Moto Crew but there are always a few new variables.

Questions start with "Which motorcycle to take?" and go to "what to pack?" which is a start to finish on the first decision point.

So this year I am determined to take the KTM. I tried the last two years to take it but was thwarted by Mechanic issues. I have switched Mechanics and the babe had been great so I think I might be successful this year.

That information will lead to packing. [not that kind.. ;)]

My biggest quest this year will be how to keep the carbs and sugar down when that is the main staple on The Ride. I gain at least 5 pounds every year because people are always shoving tasty snacks at me. I plan on pack muleing nuts, dried meats and (sigh) string cheese cause it won't go bad.

Where to get gourmound not so chemically processed dried meats in SF? Anyone else have other food suggestions?

look also to dried fruits to go with your nuts, and as for meats... ever thought of drying your own? Check here, it's easy. Whole Foods has great grass fed beef, but you probably already knew that...
See you on the road.

That list looks suspiciously like food you want me to pack for you.... except the whale bacon. ;)

Thanks Neel for the dry your own thing!

Hi Alyssa, you asked me yesterday about the link. I found it again, it is

I couldn't remember it first. Hey, and leave me a greeting, okay? Where are you going tonight? I thought about meeting at the central station.
Ciao, Alexandra
