I missed the Expo, I don't even remember why, and felt sort of left out because my friends all seemed to have learned a lot from it and made connections with other riders.

Well, it's coming up again this Sunday and I'm definitely not feeling left out since I'm leading one of the three rides that morning. There will be a 11 or 24 mile Lake Merced Ride, 42 mile Fairfax ride or my own 38 mile Tiburon ride.

The Tiburon ride is also the kickoff for the "Bride of Cat 2" training ride series, which next week will move to Saturdays and we'll be adding about 10% on each week until we're ready for the ride in June. Especially if this will be your first ride, the series is a great way for you to train with a bit of the feel for what it will be like on the ride.

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP so we'll know how many route sheets to run off for everyone.

I'll be there (and I'm already RSVP'd). Even though I'm roughly following the ongoing Cat-2 training schedule, I looked at the options for Sunday's rides. Did I really want to navigate my way yet again to Fairfax through that maze of twisty, bumpy side streets? When I could enjoy the rollers of Paradise Drive instead, with only 4 miles less riding?!

Now, it just darned well better not rain on Sunday morning. Same goes for Saturday -- I'm hoping to sneak in a nice metric somewhere in the Bay Area so I can get my full quota of miles for the weekend.
